Skate Parks
Skaters mainly prefer skate parks to develop their skating techniques. A skate park usually has different equipments ranging from quarter pipes, full pipes, pools, bowls, half-pipes, vert ramps, pyramids, banked ramps; snake runs stair sets, handrails, fun boxes etc. The park was originally made for skate boarding but gradually turned into full fledged skate park for roller bladders and other riders. There are mainly two types of skate parks classified according to the requirement. The public skate parks are owned by the government and they are usually free cost for any skater. The privately owned skate parks are owned by a particular authority and charges the specific fee.
The history of the skate parks is as old as that of the game. The skate parks came into international arena at around 1975 February. Australia always ruled the game and their international champion Russ Howell holds the key to the success in this game. USA also built up some international skate parks much to the astonishment of the people around the world. The Skate parks included pools, snake runs, banked slalom areas, bowls, and freestyle areas. The skate park was Outdoor in nature and latter on it became Indoor. Modern skate parks have employed the latest technologies to make it widely acceptable.
The world's largest skate park in present in Shanghai. The park has some new arrangements, which have drawn more players to skate at large number of times. Insurance facilities are also provided by the skate park authorities to the skate players.
